Fredericton police say damage was minimal, but a fire at a south side restaurant is suspicious. They say it happened around 4 o'clock this morning inside the restaurant; the business was open at the time, but nobody was hurt. No other details have been released.

Meanwhile, investigators now say a fire the other night off Lincoln Road is suspicious. Firefighters responded to a burning garage on Moore Street around 11pm Wednesday; both it and a car inside were destroyed. The fire department says it couldn't find any natural cause for the blaze, and has turned the investigation over to police.
