Saint John Police have two men in custody after two separate stabbings last night.  Police say they found one man with multiple stab wounds outside an apartment on Cedar Street around 1am. The victim, in his early twenties was taken to hospital.  He remains there this morning. Police suspect that a fight erupted and that the victim and attacker knew each other. They arrested a 19 year old man a short time later, near the scene. 

Minutes later the police were then called to King Street in central Saint John. There they found a man who had been assaulted with a knife, he was taken to hospital but released before morning. Police say they arrested a 22 year old man a short time after on the boardwalk. Police say they believe both men will likely to face charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
