Lobster fishermen still unhappy with province

8/6/2012

The provinces fisheries minister Michael Olscamp says he hopes cooler heads will prevail in negotiations with the province's
lobster fishermen. Protests staged at fish processing plants last week prevented at least one truckload of American lobster from
being unloaded. Despite agreeing on minimum prices, many fishermen are reportedly still unhappy, and some who met in Richibucto threatened to stage more protests at processing plants this week. Olscamp says he plans to meet with the Maritime Fishermen's Union again on Tuesday.
