Fredericton has taken game one of the best of seven senior baseball final. The Peterbilt DQ Royals beat Moncton 9-4. Game two is tonight in the hub city.

Fredericton opened the triple-a midget hockey regular season with a thrilling home ice win. The ServiceMaster Clean Canadiens edged Conrwall 7-6 in a shootout.
UNB and STU picked up exhibition wins on home ice. The Varsity Reds edged Trois Rivieres 3-2 in mens action, while the Lady Tommies earned a 5-3 win over UPEI.

UNB soccer teams hosted Moncton yesterday. The Varsity Reds women tied at two while the men lost 2-zip to the Blue Eagles.
St-Thomas soccer teams played host to Holland College. The lady Tommies won 5-zip while the mens game ended in a one-all draw.

A Fredericton rider placed third in her event at the interprovincial equestian championships in Quebec. Haley Greenbank was riding Denali in the dressage competition in Bromont.
