A mainstay on the national wheelchair basketball team hopes to go out on top. Fredericton's Dave Durepos says the upcoming London Paralympics will be his last as an athlete. Durepos has already won two Paralympic gold medals and one silver; he's been on the national team since 1994.

Harvey's Catharine Pendrel will lead Canada's mountain bike team into the Summer Olympics. Pendrel placed fourth in the 2008 Games in Beijing, and she's ranked first in the world in women's mountain bike heading into London. Pendrel will be joined by Emily Batty of Brooklin, Ont., in the women's race. Geoff Kabush of Courtney, B.C. and Victoria's Max Plaxton will carry our colours on the men's side.

The St. Thomas men`s hockey team is looking for a new associate coach. Eric Bissonnette will not be returning. The position will be changed to a part-time gig. Bissonnette was on a one-year contract with the team. He will be staying on with STU athletics however as the director of the Junior Tommies spring hockey program.
