Travis Currie and Cody Gillespie will be sharing a studio in the Soldiers’ Barracks for the final week of the Artists in Residence program, August 25 to 31. Together, Currie and Gillespie have a combined background in 2D animation and film, and they are both recent graduates from the Centre for Arts and Technology. While in the studio, they will collaborate on a comedic animation project with the end goal of making something new for the world to enjoy.
Organized by the Fredericton Arts Alliance, and supported by the N.B. Department of Culture, Tourism and Healthy Living as well as Isaac's Way, St. Thomas University, and the UNB Arts Centre, the Artists in Residence program offers week-long residencies to artists during the summer months. The goal is to support and promote local artists while allowing visitors to see and learn about the art making process. The studio is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Sunday noon to 5 p.m.).
