John Howard Society Furniture Registry

Have you ever heard of an official furniture registry? The John Howard Society of Fredericton is moving to a newly constructed building and they need your help furnishing their new offices!! They’ve set up a furniture registry at Covey Basics.  Your contribution will help the John Howard Society continue to help the most disadvantaged people in our community.

Pizza Boys Racing Car Show Fundraiser

Thursday August 5th, the weekly Pizza Boys Racing Car Show put on by Greco Dundonald, will be donating all money raised to the Matt Swan Memorial Scholarship Fund—helping graduates pursue a career in Trades.  There will be 50/50 draws, a canteen with drinks and snacks, and lots of prizes!  The show is Thursday, behind the Queen St. Legion, from 7:00 to 9:00.

The World's Largest Garage Sale

Outdoor Feature in New Maryland

There will be an Outdoor movie at Victoria Hall Park in New Maryland, Tuesday August 17th at dusk.  The feature: Up.  Take a blanket or lawn chair. Popcorn and beverages for sale.

The CPA Million Dollar Hole-In-One Shootout

August 21, 2010
August 20 & 21 at Carman Creek Golf Course, Lower St. Mary’s (adjacent to the Ramada).
Participants try to qualify for the finals by hitting golf balls into a circle surrounding the 150 yard pin. Each golfer who lands a ball within the circle qualifies for the semi-final round. In the final, the ten golfers have one shot each to hit a hole-in-one. Each golfer to sink a hole-in-one during the final round wins $1,000,000.
The One Million Dollar Hole-in-one Shootout is open to the public on Friday, August 20 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, August 21 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. The semi-finals begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, followed by the final round.

Tim Horton's Mercury March

New Brunswick Signallers Association is holding a fundraiser called Tim Horton’s Mercury March, on Saturday, Sept 11th.  The goal is to raise money for schools in Afghanistan that allow girls to attend.  There are 10K walk/runs and Junior 2K walk/runs.  The event begins at 9am in the Oromocto Canadian tire/Sobey’s parking Lot.

7th Annual Ross Drug Gold Tournament

The 7th Annual Ross Drug Golf Tournament, in Memory of Ron Green field will be at the Mactaquac Golf Club on Sept.  22nd. 1pm Shotgun Start.  The tournament will be a Texas Scramble format.  You may register as an individual & be placed on a team, or register as a team.  Each $125.00 entry fee includes a registration goody bag, green fees, a power cart and a post tournament banquet.  Advance registration by Aug. 31rst.  For more information drop into a Ross Drug location.

CIBC Run for the Cure
